What to do if your dog is not registered with the AKC
Not all dogs are registered with the AKC,, though if you want to participate in AKC companion and performance they will need to have some type of recognition from the AKC. But don’t worry, there are options for dogs that are not registered with the AKC.
The first is the PAL. This is an purebred alternative listing.
